A while ago, french fashion sports brand, Lacoste, made a wonderful collaboration with IUCN, to send an important message.

In an effort to raise awareness for endangered species, Lacoste has replaced its iconic crocodile logo with 10 different animals, which represent species that are sadly facing extinction. Featured on the brand’s classic white polo, the limited edition collection—titled Save Our Species—marks a three-year partnership, between Lacoste and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

So by buying a polo, you participate in helping IUCN and Lacoste in the fight for wildlife conservation worldwide. Also, the number of polos produced for each series corresponds to the remaining population sizes in the wild. Every animal on the shirts, has a certain number showing how many of them are left in the world, which is a terribly low number. You can find all the information on the Lacoste website, about the collaboration, the information about the animals and the decription why are they endangered.

Lacoste's crocodile logo was introduced in 1936, and the company has never before sold shirts featuring other animals. The shirts, which are part of a limited run supporting the "Save Our Species" campaign that launched during Paris Fashion Week on March 1, have alredy sold out.

I think this is a truly remarkable and wonderful collaboration to send a positive message to people and other brands as well to do the same actions. It is also beautiful to see that such a big, world know brand has done such a big and important action to protect the animals, which means that anybody can do so, little by little.
