"Makeup is a one size fits all" - PatrickStarr

Every morning, when l wake up, I check my phone before crawling out of bed. First thing l do is take a shower, wash my face and finally I do my makeup. I prep my face for the „cake“( just kidding ) moisturizer and primer, light layer of foundation, followed by setting powder, bronzer and highlight, eye brow pencil, mascara and a nude lip. And everyday, it’s basically the same thing . But then some days happen when l add a little change to my routine. That is usually inspired by an amazing look that I saw on Instagram or YouTube, or the technique someone used on some part of their face. And that makes me want to try it for myself too. I believe that changing your make up makes you discover something new about your face and yourself.

Ever since I’ve moved from Croatia to Nottingham, l started doing my makeup differently. My everyday look contains much more makeup than what l wore back home. But I don`t mind. Because over time l learned what l like on my face and how to do it. Tho l know when l return back to Croatia on summer, l`ll want things differently. Something lighter, more luminous and fresh. A more “daytime” look, with less intensity.

While l am still in Nottingham, I have two makeup looks which l switch every few days. The first, which is probably my favorite, is my look of the moment. Subtle, natural and luminous face, with “bushy“ brows ( not those carwed ones ), light brown eye shadow, mascara and nude lip. It`s easy and quick. Sometimes, when l have an extra minute, I add a few freckles. The second look is where l add more bronzer and a color to my lips. The famous red, mauve or dark brown. I like these colors just as much as l like the nude one, but I often forget how powerful, beautiful and energizing they are.

I`m always looking forward to learning and welcoming new makeup tricks and techniques to my routine. Makeup has always been my passion and it`s one of the rare places where l can relax my mind for hour and a half or 2 hours. Finally when someone says „l love your makeup“ or „how did you do that“, l get this feeling that my work is finally paid off.
