At the beginning of my year at uni, we all got this assignment in which is given to us one color. The colors were pink, gold and black. My color was black and l was really happy with that. l love black because it shows its simplicity and richness. With that, l think, this color can work with anything and look good of course, like Coco Chanel said „ you can`t never go wrong with a little black dress“. She was a designer for dresses, and girls today are inspired by her as well as the designers. Because of her the color black is a great part of fashion history.

The next part of this assignment was to get in pairs and organize a little photoshoot related to our color, black. We had to think of a theme and then make a photoshoot around it. Our theme was the background changing, from the white, to light gray, to dark grey and at the end black. With that we decided to research the emotions related to each shade we were going to do. We used a model to pose in front of those backgrounds with her expressing the emotions related to that shade of the background. The color white we related to innocence, purity and perfection, light grey to power, calmness and emotionless, dark grey to mystery, strength and stillness and black we related to elegance, formality and evilness.

With other people in my course who were working on their photoshoots, l was a part (model) of one photoshoot. Those girls rented a studio in Boninghton and their theme was black everything, with good lightning, and the focus was on hair movement. The girls needed a model for that, but at the end there were actually, two of us. We had to pose with our faces toward the wall and move our heads to express hair movement. l think that turn out to be great, and with our different hair textures and volumes, their photoshoot turn out fantastic.

We also took some photos on backgrounds to show different textures.
