Victoria`s secret is a brand known for its amazing lingerie, extravagant fashion shows and its beautiful angels. The brand has a long history and a story behind it. In their staring years, they were representing confidence and positivity, but today that is how they are presenting themselves to the audience.

Victoria`s secret was criticized about body – shaming and the diversity of models, which is getting to more and more audience by the years. In 2014 the brand came into the fire with their advert the `perfect body`. The `Body` was their new range of bras, but to put a tall skinny models with the phrase the `perfect body`, it is easy to confuse. After people sign the petition on calling the brand that it „amend an irresponsible marketing“, they changed the phase of the advert into `A body for everybody`. This petition explained that : “All this does is perpetuate low self-esteem among women who are made to feel that their bodies are inadequate and unattractive because they do not fit into a narrow standard of beauty,”... “It contributes to a culture that encourage serious health problems such as negative body image and eating disorders.”

I saw one girl in a article sharing on twitter this picture, and she wrote in a description : „Victoria's Secret - stop body shaming young women!“ with #iamperfect.

Also, the Victoria secret get slammed about body diversity more and more. They still didn't broadened the modelling cast to put a plus size model on a fashion show. There has been articles about the typical tip of model being in the fashion show every year, which is not appealing to the woman audience. It doesn't seem that the Victoria secret would receive a negative feedback on including a diversity in their modeling cast. But it will happen only the opposite, it would grab the social media attention and show that the plus size females can matter and be as beautiful as the typical models. Meanwhile other lingerie brands have included the woman in all sizes which are making them feel like they can be a part of something, so what does the Victoria secret waiting?

While many took their social media to call out the lingerie company for only showing models of a particular size, the supermodel Ashely Graham, posted on Instagram a photo of herself walking the runway, with the photoshoped wings on her, with the caption „Got my wings“. She was the first plus size model that appear in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and she has been in Lane Brynt`s #lmNoAngel lingerie campaign, which is a anti Victoria`s secret campaign that features women in all sizes. This campaign is a a true celebration of diversity`,, in which two sisters Alyse and Lexi Scaffidi were behind it to actually „ inspire the body confidence among other women“. In which they said : „It’s not about celebrating obesity or anorexia, it’s about breaking away from a stereotypical look of what is beautiful and celebrating who you are as a person."
