Coco Chanel, by her real name Gabrielle Bonheur Chanel, was born in 1883, Saumur, France. She was a fantastic fashion designer as well as an inspiration to many women, as she still is today. She transformed fashion. Her designs contained simplicity and elegancy which inspired women of the 19th century throw away their uncomfortable clothes. Her designs still inspire designers today, but the beautiful Chanel suit and the „little black dress“ continue to be staple items of the brand.

In 1910, Coco opens her fist shop in Paris in which she was selling hats, under the name „ Chanel Modes“. Three years later, she opened another shop in a town called Deauville, in which she presented her collection of sportswear. She wanted to show women to love their body and be comfortable with with themselves. After that success, in 1915. she opened her couture house in Biarritz in which she presented her first fragrance, the icon, which is still known today, Chanel N°5.

In the followed up years she presented the line of makeup, more perfumes and clothes and she was at her `peek` of the fame. When the World War 1 came, she closed her couture house and she haven't returned to France until 1954. She made a comeback with her outstanding creations. She introduced the collections of shoes, bags, and the iconic Chanel suits for women. They were feminine, contemporary and were showing the empowerment. Cardigan jacket with a skirt and bell-bottomed pants were just some of her innovations which will always contain that clean classic look.
